Welcome to Terenten

Amazing geology, a park for letting off steam, and sunshine all around

Sometimes only superlatives will do. When a village can call itself the sunniest in all of South Tyrol, it truly earns the name “sun village.” And all that at an altitude of1,200 metres! Terenten has a wonderfully relaxed, feel-good atmosphere - something you notice right away in the village centre. At the activity park, kids can let off steam on the climbing tower, giant slide, rope course or in the water play area - time flies here. Right next door, there’s minigolf with views of the Dolomites. And then there’s the Mühlenweg trail and the earth pyramids: a circular route that connects nature and history, with fascinating geology along the way.

In winter, Terenten becomes the perfect starting point for winter and snowshoe hikes, as well as easy tobogganing on the run right in the village centre. For a longer outing, hike up to the Pertinger Alm and then enjoy the ride down. Ski touring, cross-country skiing or downhill skiing – everything is possible. And when the sun is almost always shining, everything feels just that little bit easier.
