Sometimes it pays to put everything on one card: with the Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass, you can experience the region in many different ways - completely free of charge.

What’s included? Free use of buses, ski buses, regional trains and public cable cars. One ascent and descent per day in the hiking areas of Gitschberg Jochtal and Plose during selected periods. Free entry to our four swimming pools and to museums such as Neustift Abbey or the Hofburg Diocesan Museum. Minigolf in Terenten and Meransen - and much more.

By the way: the Guest Pass is available at all partner accommodations and is valid for your entire stay. More information about additional offers is available at your accommodation or in the local tourist offices.

Our cable cars

A day in our hiking areas on the Plose and in Gitschberg Jochtal completes your holiday. With the Gitschberg Nesselbahn and the Jochtalbahn, guests can ride free of charge from 14.05.2026 to 10.07.2026 and from 05.09.2026 to 07.11.2026 - up the mountain and back down again. On Brixen’s local mountain, the Plose gondola, the Pfannspitz gondola and the Palmschoß chairlift are included from 23.05 to 10.07 and from 05.09 to 01.11.2026.

Play your way through the course, enjoy some healthy competition and perfect your swing: minigolf in Meransen and Terenten is fun for the whole family. And there’s also a full weekly programme with guided snowshoe hikes in winter, climbing in summer and many other experiences.

With the Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass, you can travel free of charge throughout South Tyrol on buses, regional trains, the public cable cars Bozen-Ritten, Bozen-Kohlern, Vilpian-Mölten, Burgstall-Vöran and on ski buses. The historic Ritten tram and the Mendel funicular are also included, as well as the Almbus line 415 to the Rodenecker-Lüsner Alm. Important: validate your Guest Pass before each journey.

What is the Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass?

The Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass is your personal bonus card for your stay in the Brixen Südtirol holiday region. As a guest of a participating accommodation, you receive numerous included services such as free mobility throughout South Tyrol, cable car rides during selected periods, entry to museums, swimming pools and other leisure offers

How do I receive the Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass?

You receive the Guest Pass when you book your stay at a participating accommodation. It will be sent to you by email before your arrival. You can load it onto your smartphone, save a screenshot or add it to your wallet. If you prefer, your accommodation can print it for you on arrival

When is the Guest Pass valid?

The Guest Pass is valid from 00:00 on your day of arrival until 23:59 on your day of departure. During this period, you can use all included services.

Can I use all public transport with the Guest Pass?

Yes. You can use all regional trains, local buses and selected cable cars and historic railways throughout South Tyrol free of charge. These include:

  • Regional trains from Brenner to Trento and from Mals to Vierschach
    All local buses including ski buses in winter
    Cable cars Bozen-Ritten, Bozen-Kohlern, Vilpian-Mölten, Burgstall-Vöran
    Ritten tram and Mendel funicular
    Almbus line 415 to the Rodenecker-Lüsner Alm

How does it work on buses and trains?

The QR code on your Guest Pass must be scanned at the validator before each journey. For trains, validation takes place at the station before boarding. A sound signal and a green OK confirm validity. If no green OK appears, the journey is not valid.

Are cable cars included?

During defined periods in summer, one ascent and descent per day is included on selected cable cars:

Gitschberg Jochtal cable cars

Gitschberg Nesselbahn and Jochtalbahn from 14.05.2026 to 10.07.2026 and from 06.09.2026 to 07.11.2026.

Plose cable cars

Plose gondola, Pfannspitz gondola and Palmschoß chairlift from 23.05.2026 to 10.07.2026 and from 06.09.2026 to 01.11.2026

Which swimming pools are included?

The Guest Pass includes one free entry per day to selected pools:

  • Outdoor pool Mühlbach
    Outdoor pool Klausen
    Outdoor pool Feldthurns
    Acquarena Brixen (one entry per day for 3 hours, except Sundays, public holidays and the period from 24.12 to 06.01)

Which museums are included?

One free entry per stay is included for each of the following museums:

  • Pharmacy Museum Brixen
    Hofburg Diocesan Museum Brixen
    Villanders Mining Museum
    Klausen Town Museum
    Lodenwelt
    Capriz Fine Cheese Dairy

Some may require prior booking or participation in a guided tour.

Are there activities for families?

Yes. One free game per stay is included at:

  • Minigolf Terenten
  • Minigolf Meransen

You can also take part in the varied weekly programme, sometimes at special rates.

Is the Guest Pass transferable?

No. The Guest Pass is personal and non-transferable.Nein. Der Guest Pass ist dein persönlicher Fahrschein und nicht übertragbar.

Do children receive a Guest Pass?

All guests aged six and over receive their own Guest Pass. Children under six travel free of charge.

Can I take my bike or dog with me?

Bicycles
Transport is possible on regional trains and buses with bike racks, subject to availability. A separate ticket is required. Cable cars have their own regulations.

Dogs and animals
Guide dogs and small animals in suitable carriers travel free of charge. Other animals require a ticket. Dogs must wear a muzzle and be kept on a lead. A ticket is also required for cable cars in Gitschberg Jochtal and on the Plose.

What is the difference between the Guest Pass and the Mobilcard?

The Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass is a guest card for visitors staying in participating accommodations in the Brixen Südtirol region. It combines free mobility across South Tyrol with additional benefits such as cable car rides, museum entries and swimming pools.

The Mobilcard on the other hand, is purely a mobility ticket. It allows unlimited use of public transport in South Tyrol but does not include additional leisure services such as cable cars or museums.

Are there any services only included with the Guest Pass?

Yes. Certain services are exclusive to Guest Pass holders. These include daily cable car rides in Gitschberg Jochtal and on the Plose during selected periods, as well as included entries to museums, swimming pools and minigolf facilities
