Dreikirchen is located above Barbian at around 1,120 metres above sea level. Here, three small churches stand directly next to each other. This peaceful place is a popular hiking destination and is well suited to culture lovers, hikers and families.
You can reach Dreikirchen on foot from Barbian or from various higher starting points. The hike is moderately difficult and partly follows forest paths and uphill trails.
Wear sturdy footwear and check the trail conditions in advance. In winter, snow and ice can make access more difficult. The churches are not always open. Please visit them respectfully and be mindful of any church services or private events.
From Klausen, follow the Brenner state road (SS12) towards Bolzano or Waidbruck. After about 6 km, you reach Waidbruck, where you turn right towards Barbian. Follow the road for about 4 km in the direction of Dreikirchen. The final sections to Dreikirchen have to be covered on foot.
