HOLIDAYS WITH A GOOD FEELING

Travel responsibly

Our natural surroundings are a gift. Deep down, we all know what it takes to protect and preserve them: using resources wisely, making conscious choices and taking small steps. Moving more mindfully - in the mountains and in the valleys. Because everything counts, and holidays feel so much better with a clear, green conscience.

Sustainable places to stay

Small Steps, Big Impact

Sustainable travel - but how?

Exploring beautiful places while travelling responsibly - yes, it really is possible. Conscious travel begins at home. Really? Switching off devices instead of leaving them on standby is just one small example. Taking the train instead of flying, and checking in advance whether your chosen accommodation values sustainability. Once you’re here, it’s easy to avoid waste, save water and use public transport to get around. Travelling mindfully  it’s a small shift that makes a big difference.

South Tyrol Sustainability Label

Clearly recognised

Sustainability is a big word  living it is the real challenge. The South Tyrol Sustainability Label makes it measurable and visible. It is based on the criteria of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), which define a shared understanding of sustainable tourism. Management, socio-economics, culture and ecology are all carefully assessed. Since sustainability cannot be achieved overnight, the label has three levels. Each level requires specific criteria, verified through an audit. The third and highest level corresponds to GSTC certification and is internationally recognised.

Certified Regions

Every step counts

Some are just beginning, others are already well on their way - sustainability matters deeply in Brixen Südtirol. The holiday regions of Brixen and Gitschberg Jochtal have already been awarded the South Tyrol Sustainability Label, while Natz-Schabs and Klausen are currently in the process. And the best part: many hotels, guesthouses, holiday apartments and farm stays are already certified and proudly carry the label.
