Accessibility statement
Accessibility statement for the website brixen-suedtirol.com pursuant to the Law of 9 January 2004, No. 4, WCAG 2.2 Level AA and the UNI CEI EN 301549 V3.2.1 standard.
Introduction
The Brixen Südtirol Consortium is committed to making its website brixen-suedtirol.com accessible in accordance with the Law of 9 January 2004, No. 4, as well as with the requirements of WCAG 2.2 conformance level AA and the harmonised European standard UNI CEI EN 301549 V3.2.1.
The website is based on HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript and is regularly checked for accessibility. The source code follows modern web standards and is semantically structured in order to ensure an accessible and user-friendly experience.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the requirements of Annex A of the UNI CEI EN 301549 V3.2.1 standard and with WCAG 2.2 (Level AA) – due to the exceptions and non-conformities described below.
Non-accessible content
The following content is not, or not fully, accessible for the reasons set out below – non-compliance with the Law of 9 January 2004, No. 4:
-
C.9.1.1.1 – Non-text content (Level A): Some of the images used currently do not have an attribute, or do not have a sufficiently descriptive one. An equivalent text alternative for non-text content is therefore not consistently ensured.
-
C.9.1.3.1 – Info and Relationships (Level A): In individual components, particularly in sliders, the relationship between controls and the content they control is not unambiguously determinable programmatically, or is not displayed in sufficiently close visual proximity. The semantic relationships are therefore not fully perceivable by assistive technologies.
-
C.9.1.4.3 – Contrast (Minimum) (Level AA): In some areas, the required minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 between text and background is not met. In particular, with light text on image-based backgrounds, legibility is impaired.
-
C.9.1.4.10 – Reflow (Level AA): The content does not fully adapt to a viewport width of 320 pixels without horizontal scrolling. From a width of approximately 370 pixels, overlaps occur within the navigation.
-
C.9.2.4.4 – Link Purpose (In Context) (Level A): Several links are not labelled sufficiently meaningfully. Recurring link texts such as “Learn more” do not allow the purpose of the link to be clearly identified without additional context.
-
C.9.2.5.8 – Target Size (Minimum) (Level AA): For some interactive controls, the required minimum target size of 24×24 CSS pixels is not consistently maintained.
-
C.9.4.1.2 – Name, Role, Value (Level A): For some interactive components, name, role or state information is not fully or correctly implemented programmatically. In some cases, the visible label does not match the accessible name (e.g. ).
-
C.9.4.1.3 – Status Messages (Level AA): Status changes are not communicated programmatically to assistive technologies in all cases. For example, when opening map markers or detail views within the map function, no adequate status communication takes place (missing regions or roles).
