The tour starts at the Schneeberg parking lot in Terenten. From there, trail no. 5 leads steadily uphill through the winter landscape to the Pertinger Alm, a serviced mountain hut.
The route then continues to the Upper Pertinger Alm and finally up to the Terner Joch at 2,405 metres above sea level. From here, impressive panoramic views of numerous well-known Alpine peaks open up.
The return route follows the same trail back to the Schneeberg parking lot, the finishing point of the tour.
