Welcome to Villanders

Sunny slopes, rich history and Dolomite panoramas

Where to begin? Villanders is a village full of possibilities. Not just because of its sunny hillside location, but also thanks to its close connection to nature. Vineyards in the village, forests and alpine pastures all around. Follow in the footsteps of miners in the former ore and silver mine, or explore traces of ancient settlements at the Archeoparc Villanders. Just two of many ways to make a day here truly special

And then there’s the Villanders alpine pasture - a high plateau with a 360-degree panoramic view stretching all the way to the Dolomites. The mountain pines growing here are used to produce essential oils, the basis for fragrances and healing balms. Along the mountain pine trail, you can experience this natural resource up close. A place of stillness: Lake Totensee with its small Totenkirchl chapel on the Villanders mountain.

In winter, the Villanders Alm alpine pasture become a haven for those seeking relaxation away from busy ski resorts. What does winter happiness look like here? Snowshoeing through untouched landscapes, gliding along cross-country trails, listening to the crunch of snow underfoot on cleared winter paths, or sledging down a natural toboggan run. So simple, so good.
