welcome to Raas
Secluded yet right at the heart of it all - a place where slowing down feels easy
Some views simply change everything. From above, the perspective widens, clarity sets in and a sense of calm follows. Raas is one of those places - set slightly above it all, yet close to everything that makes a holiday special. Located on a sunny plateau and surrounded by gently sloping vineyards and orchards, it offers sweeping views across the Isarco Valley. And yet, it only takes a few steps to move from this peaceful vantage point into a more vibrant setting: lace up your trainers and walk down to Neustift and its Augustinian monastery - or continue on to the historic centre of Brixen.
When apple trees frame a village like a picture, it’s only natural that walking paths become a highlight - and that a playground fits perfectly into the scene. Its name says it all: Apfelgarten. A place to explore, play and unwind. A little more secluded lies the Raier Moos biotope. Once a large lake, it formed over 12,000 years ago on clay-rich moraines. Today, a nature trail loops around it. Watch reeds sway gently in the water, count dragonflies and simply follow the path - sometimes happiness really is that simple.
