This pleasant circular trail starts at the parking lot by the Jochtal cable car valley station in Vals. The well-signposted Vals circular trail begins here and leads you through a varied setting of natural surroundings, village life and mountain views.
At first, you follow a gently ascending paved path along the edge of the forest. Along the way, views repeatedly open up over the village of Vals and the peaks of the Pfunderer Mountains. Just below Luckner Hütte, which is only open in winter, the trail branches off to the left and crosses a small meadow to the village centre. After passing the community centre, continue following the signs for the circular trail.
The route then continues on level ground or gently downhill, passing green meadows, shaded forest sections, individual farms and houses. Cross the road at the small chapel beside Hotel Masl. Along the route, several exercise and mindfulness stations invite you to pause and take part.
The final section follows the Valler Bach back to the Jochtal cable car valley station, where the circular route ends.
