he starting point of the hike is the parking lot at the Jochtal cable car valley station in Vals. This is where the well-signposted Vals Circular Trail begins, leading you through a varied landscape of nature, village life and mountain scenery.
The trail first follows a gently ascending paved path along the edge of the forest, offering repeated views of the village of Vals and the peaks of the Pfunderer Mountains. Just below the Luckner Hut, which is open only in winter, the trail branches off to the left and crosses a small meadow into the village centre. Passing the community hall, continue following the signs for the circular trail.
The route then continues gently downhill or on level ground, passing green meadows, shaded forest sections, individual farms and houses. At the small chapel next to Hotel Masl, cross the road. Along the way, several movement and mindfulness stations invite you to stop and take part.
Finally, follow the Vals Stream back to the parking lot at the Jochtal cable car valley station in Vals, where the circular trail closes and the hike comes to an end.
Start in Mühlbach and follow the Pustertal State Road SS49 towards Vals. After a few minutes, you will reach the junction for the SP149 road to Vals. Turn right and follow the road uphill.
In the centre of Vals, follow the signs for the Jochtal cable car. The clearly visible car park is located directly at the valley station. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes.
