The starting point is the village centre of Terenten. From there, walk west for around one kilometre along the Pustertal Sun Road. Shortly before the Neuwirt, cross the road and follow trail no. 3. The route crosses the Winnebach stream and continues along a small paved road to the Guggenhof. From there, a forest path leads to another quiet road and into the hamlet of Pichlern.
After a gentle climb past the Mair am Hof farm, continue for around 20 minutes to the junction with trail no. 11 in Pichlern. Follow it south-west. Pass Bar Café Niederhof and continue to the Kuenhof. At the bus stop on the Pustertal Sun Road, cross the road again. You can also return to the village by bus from here.
Then follow trail no. 3A and later change to trail no. 3B. At the junction with trail no. 18, leave this route and cross the Winnebach stream once more. Trail no. 18 leads you back to the village centre of Terenten.
