The starting point of the circular hike is the Sonnberg parking lot. From there, follow the ascending trail no. 22, passing the Raffalt Alm, which does not offer refreshments. Continue along the same trail to the unmanaged Engl Alm.
From the Engl Alm, trail no. 8 leads eastwards along the Alpine Rose Trail to the Gols panoramic viewpoint. The “vitamin D stations” provide an inviting place to rest and enjoy the views. Continue along trail no. 8 to the Astner Bergalm, where refreshments are available.
The descent leads through the Winnebachtal Valley and then follows trail no. 5 to the Alpeggerhof farm. From there, the panoramic trail leads back to the starting point. The circular hike ends back at the Sonnberg parking lot.
