The mountain pine oil distillery is located on the Barbian Alp. Here you can discover how essential mountain pine oil is extracted from mountain pine branches.

Sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are required for the walk. Walking time depends on the chosen route. Check the weather, trail conditions and possible guided-tour times in advance. Access may be difficult in snow, ice or thunderstorms.

Guided tours are offered on Wednesdays.

The distillery can only be reached on foot via trail no. 15. The recommended starting point is the Huber Kreuz car park at an elevation of approximately 1,600 metres. From there, follow the signposted hiking trails across the Barbian Alp. On Wednesdays, the Huber Kreuz car park can also be reached by hiking bus from the Barbian Tourist Office.
