It is a precious habitat, home to both people and wildlife – a place where we can breathe deeply and reconnect with ourselves. And it is exactly this space we want to protect. How, you might ask?
The Fallmetz summit (2,568m) is an insider tip as it is less well-known but offers a spectacular 360-degree view.
Ride the cable car to the Nesselbahn mountain station.
The trail leads you through alpine panoramas to the Falzarer Joch between the Altfasstal valley and Pfunders. From the Falzarer Joch, you climb over a grassy ridge to the pre-summit. The slightly exposed transition to the main summit is quickly conquered and an unimagined panoramic view of the large Seefeldsee lake, the Altfasstal valley and the surrounding mountain peaks awaits you.
The descent is via the ascent route. Stop for refreshments on the way back.
