It is a precious habitat, home to both people and wildlife – a place where we can breathe deeply and reconnect with ourselves. And it is exactly this space we want to protect. How, you might ask?
We will meet up in the centre of Spinges and start our hike to the Opera 24 bunker. On our way there, we will have the chance to learn intriguing details about the builder of the Holy Sepulchre Chapel (1685) and the historical and artistic heritage of the local parish church and its small museum. We will also find out about the way of life in an 18th century farmer’s parlour, and why 400 people were burnt alive in a local farmhouse. The highest point of our hike is a bunker in Mussolini’s Alpine Wall, where we will learn about its history before enjoying a picnic on site. In the event of adverse weather, we will skip the hike. You will still have the opportunity to reach the bunker by car.

To fully enjoy the hike, we recommend wearing warm clothing and sturdy footwear, and bringing enough water.
