It is a precious habitat, home to both people and wildlife – a place where we can breathe deeply and reconnect with ourselves. And it is exactly this space we want to protect. How, you might ask?
The Novacella Abbey Museum, together with Evelyn and Daniela Leiter, daughters of the restorer Josef Leiter, who passed away on 19 February 2021, warmly invites you to the exhibition “Faces”, featuring a selection of paintings from his 55 years of collecting. The exhibition focuses on faces, ranging from Baroque depictions of saints and portraits of prominent figures from the 18th to the 20th century to portraits and self-portraits of artists. The works on display were created by painters from across Tyrol, as well as from Germany, Bohemia, Italy and eastern Austria. The exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in the painted faces, discover new perspectives and explore the stories behind the images.
