It is a precious habitat, home to both people and wildlife – a place where we can breathe deeply and reconnect with ourselves. And it is exactly this space we want to protect. How, you might ask?
The Klausen Chess Club is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and invites you to five days of chess culture.
At the former Grauer Bär inn in Klausen (Lower Town), you can look forward to an exhibition of historic chessboards from private collections, as well as insights into the club’s history from 1976 to the present day.
Of course, you can also play on site – everyone is welcome, whether for a quick game or to brush up on their skills.
HIGHLIGHT: Simultaneous exhibition match featuring Grandmaster Igor Gleck against 25 players on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Tinneplatz in Klausen. The event will take place regardless of the weather.
