The 23rd Eisacktal District Foal Show at the Wieserhof in Meransen celebrates Haflinger horses and the region’s long-standing horse-breeding tradition. Visitors can enjoy a festive procession with horses and a Haflinger carriage, followed by the blessing of the horses and the foal show. Local farmers’ wives from Meransen will serve traditional treats including freshly prepared Strauben, accompanied by musical entertainment. Families can also look forward to a large playground and a bouncy castle. A raffle rounds off the event, with prizes including a Gitschberg Jochtal season pass, a Torggler toboggan and two sides of South Tyrolean speck.
