This winter hike leads through the Altfasstal Valley, past snow-covered alpine huts and sunny resting spots. The route is suitable for families and nature lovers looking for peace and relaxation in the winter landscape.
The winter hike starts at the paid Altfasstal parking lot. From there, follow the well-groomed, almost level winter hiking trail towards the Großberg Hut. The trail leads through the snowy forest without any significant climbs. Once you leave the forest behind, the view opens up over the sunny Altfasstal Valley.
The well-signposted Trail No. 15 leads you alongside a small stream through the valley. At the end of the valley, you reach the Wieser Hut at 1,850 metres, the destination of the winter hike, where you can take a relaxing break. Return along the same route to the Altfasstal parking lot, where the hike ends.
Warm clothing and sturdy winter footwear will keep you well prepared for the hike through the snow-covered landscape.
There is a paid parking area at the entrance to Altfasstal Valley, which serves as the starting point for the hike.
