The winter hike to Anratterhütte starts at the Bunker recreation area parking lot in Spinges. An old bunker is located directly at the starting point and recalls the history of the area.
From there, follow the wide, groomed winter hiking route marked no. 9. The trail is regularly maintained by a snow groomer and climbs gently through the snow-covered forest. Along the way, you can enjoy views of the surrounding mountains.
After around two hours, you reach the Obereggerbach stream at an altitude of 1,730 metres. Continue past Hinterleitneralm and Weberalm. After another 30 minutes, you arrive at Anratterhütte at 1,815 metres. Here you can stop in the warm dining room and enjoy South Tyrolean specialities.
In the ski and holiday area Gitschberg Jochtal you can get an Adventure Book at your accommodation or at the tourist offices. This special booklet features ten selected hikes, each with a stamp station along the way, where you can collect an imprint in your Adventure Book.
With three stamps, you can claim a bronze medal at the tourist offices in Mühlbach, Rodeneck, Terenten, Vals, or Meransen. Six stamps earn you a silver medal, and with all ten, you’ll be awarded the prestigious gold medal!
