It is a precious habitat, home to both people and wildlife – a place where we can breathe deeply and reconnect with ourselves. And it is exactly this space we want to protect. How, you might ask?
From Villandro, we follow trail marking no. 4 to the Gasthof Winterle. Then, instead of continuing along the road, we take a higher path through the meadows to Lafojermüller, cross the stream and climb steeply up to Bad Dreikirchen. From here, we do not descend to Barbian, but continue uphill through beautiful larch forests to the Gasthof Briol. The route continues on a level forest path high above Barbian to the Ganderbach stream gorge (upper waterfall). A steep trail (caution when wet!) leads down to the lower waterfall and out to Barbian. Return by public transport.

How to get there
From Klausen, follow the LS87 to the village of Villandro. At the DESPAR, continue straight ahead into the cul-de-sac, then take the first descent on the left towards the sports field. Here you will find a small free car park.
