Further information and useful links

The starting point of the hike is the paid parking lot in the Altfasstal Valley. From there, follow the shaded, almost level forest road to the Kneipp facility. The trail then continues with very little elevation gain to the Großberg Hut. As soon as you leave the forest behind, the view opens up over the sunny Altfasstal Valley.

The well-marked Trail No. 15 follows a small stream to the end of the Altfasstal Valley. Here you reach the Wieser Hut and the Pranter Stadl Hut, both located at 1,850 metres and offering refreshments.

Tip: For the return journey, you can rent a mountain bike and ride back down through the valley. The hike ends back at the paid parking lot in the Altfasstal Valley.
