It is a precious habitat, home to both people and wildlife – a place where we can breathe deeply and reconnect with ourselves. And it is exactly this space we want to protect. How, you might ask?
The ski tour to the Terner Joch (2,405 m) is a relaxed snowshoe or ski mountaineering hike, renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views. At the summit, you are rewarded with a unique 360° view stretching from the Haunold in the east, the Three Peaks, and Monte Cristallo to the Hohe Gaisl. Equally impressive are the mountains of Sennes and Fanes, the Sella Group, the Puez-Geisler Group, and the striking Peitlerkofel. In the southwest, the Schlern rises majestically, while in the north, the Zillertal Alps and in the northeast, the Dureck and Rieserferner Groups greet you.
Starting from the trailhead, the tour leads over gently sloping hills and through a charming winter landscape to the summit of the Terner Joch. The ascent is not particularly technical but requires solid fitness and confident behavior in alpine terrain. This tour is perfect for those seeking a blend of winter tranquility, physical activity, and breathtaking views. The Terner Joch offers one of the most stunning panoramas in the Pfunderer Mountains.
