From the car park at Gasser Hut, follow trail no. 6. Just above the Mair in Plun mountain inn, turn right onto trail no. 15, which leads to Stöffl Hut in about 90 minutes. Continue on trail no. 15A and then trail no. 1 to the Latzfons Cross, the highest pilgrimage site in Europe. The final ascent to Kassianspitze takes around 50 minutes and rewards hikers with magnificent panoramic views of the Sarntal Alps. Return to Gasser Hut along the same route.
