Start at the parking lot in the Winnebachtal and follow Trail No. 23, which ascends gently to the Astnerbergalm. From there, the path becomes steeper. At the height of the waterfall, a flatter section offers a brief respite before a moderate ascent leads you to the Tiefrastenhütte and the picturesque Tiefrastensee.
From the hut, continue on Trail No. 24 towards the Hochsägescharte. Turn left here and follow Trail No. 24, which includes some light scrambling, up to the Hochgrubbachspitze (2,811 m). At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains!
The descent follows the same route as the ascent back to the starting point.
