The Brixner Hütte is located at 2,282 metres in the South Tyrolean part of the Zillertal Alps, in the heart of the Pfunderer Mountains. The shortest and particularly varied route starts in Vals at Fane Alm, a traditional alpine village.
First, follow a gravel road through the Fane alpine village with its huts, livestock barns and small church. Then continue along trail no. 17 beside the Valler Bach stream to the waterfalls. From there, the route climbs gently to Brixner Hütte. The hike is suitable for families and offers views over the Vals Valley.
You can park at the paid Fane Alm parking lot, the starting point for your hike. Once the parking lot is full, a shuttle service operates from the Berg am Boden parking lot.
One the Fanealm parking area is completely full, a shuttle service will be activated, starting from the Berg am Boden parking are.
