The hike to the Brixen Hut leads from the Fane Alm through the impressive mountain landscape of the Pfunderer Mountains. Along the way, waterfalls and beautiful panoramic views accompany you until you reach the mountain hut at 2,282 metres.
In the South Tyrolean part of the Zillertal Alps, in the heart of the Pfunderer Mountains, lies the Brixen Hut at 2,282 metres. The shortest and at the same time most varied approach starts in Vals at the Fane Alm, a traditional alpine village.
The hike begins along a gravel road through the alpine village of Fane, with its huts, barns and small church. Then follow Trail No. 17 along the Vals Stream to the waterfalls. From there, the trail continues with a moderate ascent to the Brixen Hut, the destination of the hike. The route is also suitable for families and offers beautiful views over the Vals Valley. Return along the same route to Vals at the Fane Alm, where the hike ends.
You can park at the paid Fane Alm parking lot, the starting point for your hike. Once the parking lot is full, a shuttle service operates from the Berg am Boden parking lot.
