Start at the Gitschberg mountain station, which you can easily reach by cable car. The circular trail is well signposted, making it easy to follow.
First, follow trail no. 20 to the Gitschhütte, where refreshments are available. Continue on trail no. 12 to the Zasslerhütte, which does not offer refreshments. Trail no. 21 then takes you to the Ochsenboden. Follow the path to the junction with trail no. 6 and turn left, crossing the Kleiner Gitsch to the panoramic viewpoint before continuing to the Moserhütte, where refreshments are available.
From the Moserhütte, descend to the Gampen rest area. Then turn left and walk across meadows and through the forest towards the Gassler Alm and the Bacherhütte, where refreshments are available. Continue on trail no. 14, then turn right onto trail no. 19A to the Kiener Alm, which also offers refreshments. Follow trail no. 20 uphill, then turn left onto the Geißraste circular trail and continue to the Pichlerhütte, where refreshments are available. Finally, follow the circular trail back to the Gitschberg cable car mountain station.
