The Feldthurns plateau is one of South Tyrol’s most beautiful hiking areas, especially in spring and autumn. Gentle hills, chestnut groves, meadows and traditional farms shape this idyllic cultural landscape. It is also the birthplace of the famous Chestnut Trail, making the region a perfect destination for nature lovers and leisurely hikers.
Starting from Feldthurns, the hike first follows the Chestnut Trail to Pardell and continues to the Säbener Hof farm. From there, the route follows trail no. 3A to the Hienghof farm and then continues along the Wine Trail in the opposite direction until the junction with trail no. 15, which leads back to the centre of Feldthurns. A varied hike combining beautiful views, traditional farms and the unique cultural landscape of the Isarco Valley.

The hike is easily accessible by public transport: from Klausen you can reach Feldthurns by bus no. 343, while from Brixen the bus no. 342 takes you there.
How to get there
Leave the motorway at the Klausen/Chiusa exit. At the first roundabout, take the first exit, and at the next roundabout, take the second exit. Continue along the road for a few metres, then turn right towards Feldthurns. Follow the road to Feldthurns.
Where to park
At the entrance to the village, free parking is available on both the left-hand side (next to the fire station) and the right-hand side (next to the recycling centre). There is also a paid parking garage located right next to them.
