The starting point is the Winnebachtal parking lot in Terenten. From there, follow trail no. 5B past the Lerchnerhof farm and then continue on trail no. 5 to the Pertinger Alm. Stay on trail no. 5 until you reach the turn-off for the Gamssteig. Trail no. 5A leads across green meadows to the Hof Alm, offering wide views along the way.
From there, follow the Pfunders High Trail for a short distance to the Tiefrasten-Hüttl. You can take a detour of around 45 minutes to the Tiefrastenhütte. Alternatively, descend to the Astner Bergalm and then return to the car park.
